The Digital Safety (DS) project is an initiative under the Erasmus+ programme, specifically under the KA210-SCH category, which concerns small-scale partnerships in school education. The project’s scope is school education.

Purpose
In today’s age of technology, although it offers countless benefits, its unrestricted and uncontrolled use can cause serious harm, known as technological addiction. The Alpha generation (students born after 2010) are heavily exposed to technology in their daily lives, making them more prone to technology addiction. According to the “We Are Social Digital Report 2023”, 64.4% of the world’s population are internet users, and 54.9% are social media users. Moreover, according to Eurostat data, 96% of young people in the EU use the internet daily. This data poses many risks and problems, such as cyberbullying, disclosure of private data and a negative impact on school success.
The Digital Safety project seeks to address these issues by contributing to the development of a high-performance European digital education ecosystem and strengthening citizens’ capacities for the digital transition, in line with the Digital Education Action Plan 2021-20274.
